Check out this use of busted concrete.
The new Aloha Huber Park Elementary School is harvesting rainwater from their roof to use in their rain garden. The garden beautifully mimics a natural stream with local native plants. Gutters made from blocks of concrete from a recycled sidewalk feed the stream from the downspouts and stream crossings are provided by large strategically placed stepping stones. The stream feeds into the creek along 170th St, Washington County’s stormwater treatment and restoration project that is lush with native plants. Designed by Art Graves of Chris Freshley Landscape Architects.

Do you have any suggestions for areas such as: strip plazas, where businesses prefer to black top from building to sidewalk and then from sidewalk to curb?
I’m sure the reason for this is ease of snow plowing and no mowing.

This links directly to the Landscape Architecture page of my site that shows the construction of stormwater control structures made out of reused concrete. Most is done with reused sidewalks but also used were a demolished foundation, and a “site ruin” that was cut into and planted with willows for stormwater uptake.
