Compost Intern for ReBuilding Center and Fargo Garden

The ReBuilding Center of Our United Villages is currently seeking an intern to help start and manage their new compost facility. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of compost management and implementation and be passionate and enthusiastic about wet waste diversion. The intern will assist the AmeriCorps team of builders with initial box construction. After the facility is in place the intern will manage the compost. This will entail:

*Turning compost and maintaining the pile according to sanitary standard compost practices

*Transporting compost to Fargo Garden

*Gathering donated tools and materials that come into the warehouse to start compost tool shed

*Help recruit and train replacement upon completion of internship

The time commitment will be 2-6 hours per week with for a minimum duration of three months. It would be ideal for someone who can get school credit for the hours they put in. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone looking to get involved in grass roots sustainability efforts.
