Creative Science School (http://creativescienceschool.org/) (CSS) is a focus option program within PPS for children in grades K-8. Students are encouraged to be independent thinkers, learners and problem solvers. The CSS evolved from a successful constructivist program for four- and five-year- olds in 1986, growing into a full elementary school. In fall 2008, CSS relocated to the Clark building. The parent community plays an important role in CSS. The school has a vibrant PTA with a dynamic vision for the future of CSS. The school is interested in removing two small asphalt-covered corners of an enclosed play area, measuring roughly 30′ x 30′ (1,800 sq ft total). The CSS is interested in building green-spaces for outdoor learning and play.
