Depave Fargo Forest Gardens work concludes for the season

Thanks again to all the wonderful volunteers who have put some hours in at our Fargo Gardens site. Our spring work is nearly complete with the garden beds, paths, and gathering areas constructed, our bioswale built and planted, and a perimeter fence with espalier fruit trees in. In another week, we will hang our garden gates. It is starting to look like a real garden! Our BES grant is now concluded and we will take a break at this site for the summer to seek additional funding, recruit garden stewards, and finish our planting plan. In the fall, when the rains return we will complete the plantings so stay posted! And if you have not visited the site in a while, drop on by to see our handiwork! Also, be on the lookout for an invite to Depave Volunteers who participated this past year for the 1st year party for Fargo Forest Garden sometime towards the end of July.
