Have you been looking for a way to contribute your skills and energy while learning and meeting people? Maybe you’re passionate about green infrastructure and community building?
We encourage you to come learn what it takes to make Depave events possible and successful! Meet Depave staff and volunteers and get your hands dirty. We’ll teach you what’s involved in being a Crew Leader so you can help us have well-attended, well-run, safe, fun, productive work parties. Crew Leaders play a key role coordinating volunteers at events where we rip up pavement and create greenspace (i.e. rain gardens).
This is a great opportunity for people looking to get (more) involved with our work who want to help make a tangible difference in communities in Greater Portland. In addition to the many local benefits of our community-based work, Depave has an international reputation and inspires people around the world to take action in their communities — working collaboratively to turn parking lots into paradise.
Orientation attendance is only required for people interested in becoming new Crew Leaders.
