What a crazy busy Depave season it has been! But believe it or not, there is one last site and celebration to be had! Please join Depave, Teuful Nursery, Disjecta, and Kenton neighbors this coming Saturday for a planting party – the last step in the transformation of an 8,000 sf parking lot into a creative outdoor performance space and public chill spot just a log-roll away from the Paul Bunyan statue in historic Kenton.

For background on the project, check out the Oregonian article from August HERE. With a grant from the East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District, Depave is assisting Disjecta with pavement removal, as well as raingarden design and installation. Come participate in the raingarden planting and see this innovative urban redevelopment project up close! It is one of our coolest collaborations yet!

And after the planting, join us for a PARTY! We’ll have FREE BEER, non-alcoholic drinks, and some light snacks. If you missed our summer garden party, come catch up with old friends and celebrate the end of a long, hard season. WAHOO!

When: Saturday, October 29 – planting from 9a-2p, with a socializing afterwards

Where: Disjecta Interdisciplinary Arts Center, 8371 N. Interstate Ave. – just opposite the Max Yellow Line Kenton stop

Specs: 8,000 sq.ft depaved, 400 sq.ft. of new raingarden, and an additional 4,100 sq.ft. of new landscaping

Funded by: The Portland Development Commission, and The East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District
