We’re excited to work with River Network, Stewardship Partners, and the Pierce Conservation District to bring depaving to the Puget Sound region with a project funded by The Russell Family Foundation. Regreeen paved areas with native gardens at this busy intersection in central Tacoma will complement the City of Tacoma’s nearby rain garden.
Depaving was awesome! A little bit of the PNW couldn’t keep the determined Tacoma Crew down – it’s like they’d done this a hundred times. We had a blast getting to know members of the local community. Thanks so much to Mt Tahoma Church, Trinity Presbyterian Church, 6th Avenue Business District, City of Tacoma, Russell Family Foundation, Stewardship Partners, Pierce Conservation District, and River Network for making it all possible!
