Chief Joseph Elementary School
Our first depave after the pandemic began was small but mighty! A small crew of Depave staff, board members, and crew leaders worked in the heat to rip up 792 sf of 5” asphalt and 3” sub gravel to make room for 4 shade trees to provide refuge for the kiddos on the playground. This will reduce the stormwater runoff by 7,920 gallons annually. THANK YOU to our amazing little crew of volunteers!!
This project was funded by Portland Clean Energy Fund, Metro Nature in Neighborhoods, and East Multnomah Soil & Water Conservation District.
